Hypnosis Research

A total of 135 patients with IBS were involved in the Simren hypnosis study. The average age of the patients was 41 years. A large number are women.

In both studies, participants were divided into two groups. One group pemf machine review performed hypnotherapy 12 times a week for one hour a week, focusing on bowel-related problems. In comparison, the second group was not hypnotized.

In one study, a comparison group received 12 weeks of attention from physicians and nutritionists. In other studies, the comparison group paid no special attention.

At the beginning of the study, patients ’gastrointestinal symptoms, quality of life, and depression were scored immediately after 12 weeks of treatment, and then patients were scored 6 and 12 months later.

Simon says that during the process of hypnosis, the patient is guided into a “relaxed ance state”, where the patient imagines a calm picture, like a slow-flowing river.

Simren does not hypnotize any patients. Hypnosis sessions are conducted by trained hypnotherapists.

Hypnosis relieves symptoms
Simon said: "In two studies on gastrointestinal symptoms, the hypnotherapy group experienced a significant improvement, while the control group did not."

In the hypnotherapy group, 52% of people experienced a significant increase in gastrointestinal symptoms (meaning that it was impossible to improve by chance), compared with 32% in the control group.

Studies show that this increase is mainly shown in abdominal pain, bloating, and bloating symptoms, rather than the habit of defecating.

Simon said: "We believe that through this study, we have proven that this operation can be performed outside a very specialized GI center." He added that hypnotherapy appears to have a "good effect on reducing symptoms a year later.".

Simon said the long-term results were "promising." "So in the short term, this is a good thing; in the long term, these patients seem to be able to use it."

Learn to deal with IBS

Another group of researchers tested cognitive-behavioral therapy on 59 IBS patients, most of whom were women.

Researchers include Jeffrey Lackner, PsyD of the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Lackner told reporters via a conference call: "Our work is based on two beliefs." "One of them is that at the moment, there is no drug that can what is pemf machine meet all the symptoms. So the burden of managing IBS is actually on the daily shoulder patient. Basically."

Lackner said: "Managing symptoms really comes down to mastering a set of skills." Lackner says that these skills are typically taught in 10 to 20 weeks, which is "impractical for a large number of patients," and points out There's a shortage of trained therapists for IBS patients receiving cognitive behavioral therapy.
